Greetings from the chairman and secretary

My name is Miwa Konezawa, and I have been appointed as the president of the Rotary Club of Tokyo Riverside for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. I am truly grateful to have been appointed to such an honorable position.
This year's club theme is"Learning from the past for new discoveries"We have put up the following message.

It's a familiar phrase, but I think it's a phrase that is necessary and appropriate for our club right now. Our club is in its 27th year, and in recent years we have seen an increase in new members. I believe that by taking this opportunity to study the history of Rotary and understand the essence of Rotary, we can get closer to realizing Riverside Pride, as advocated by the Vision Committee (seeking integrity and practicing service, viewing integrity and service as two sides of the same coin like the wheels of a car, and recognizing diversity in regions, occupations, and generations).

This year, we have an important role to play as the host of the District Training Conference and the Kita-ku C Group Joint Meeting, which all members will be working on. We have set up an executive committee to promote this to other clubs, and with your cooperation, we hope to spread the word that "Tokyo Riverside Club is here." The other day, when I was talking to a club member who had participated in the District Training Conference, he told me that preparing for the District Training Conference strengthens the sense of unity within the club. Let's make Riverside a more united club than ever before.

We would like to ask for your continued support and cooperation so that we can work together with all our members to run the club effectively.

My name is Kenji Watanabe and I will be serving as the secretary for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
In order to fulfill my responsibilities as the secretary of Tokyo Riverside Rotary Club, I would like to work hard for the next year behind the scenes to ensure that the club is run in a wonderful and attractive manner, with the cooperation of all members under the direction of Chairman Konezawa.

Chairman Konezawa has set the club theme as "Learning from the past for the new," and will be running the Tokyo Riverside Club for the year. Many new members have joined the club in the past few years, making it even more lively. For these new members, we hope to learn from charter members and other veteran members about what Rotary and Riverside are, and also about its history, making this a year that will serve as an opportunity to pioneer new ways of operating and operating the club.

This year will be a year in which we will be expected to play many roles as a club that has produced Assistant Governor Fujii and District Secretary Goda. We will need the manpower of all our members to fulfill our role as hosts of the Kita District C Group Joint Meeting and the District Training Conference. We hope that the Tokyo Riverside Rotary Club will come together as one and become a club where members can deepen their friendships more than ever before.

Finally, Chairman Konezawa and I have been talking about having fun as well. We will work closely with the chairman and the secretariat to operate the event, but we may be unfamiliar with many things and may cause inconvenience to everyone. However, we would appreciate your guidance and advice so that we can end the Konezawa fiscal year in June next year with people saying, "It was fun" and "It was great."
