Community Service Committees develop and implement educational, humanitarian, and vocational projects that address needs in local communities and other communities.
Main activities
1. Raising giant purple saki
In 2001, Mr. Okamoto, the first chairman, began raising butterflies as part of his education to teach children in Arakawa Ward about the sanctity and limits of life. In cooperation with the ward, we have installed gauges in natural parks within the ward.
2. Support for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake
Since 2011, we have been supporting sports in Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture, which is a friendship exchange city with Arakawa Ward.Main activities include visiting the Totan Sports Boys' Club and Totan Junior High School, setting up dugouts and portable toilets as part of ground maintenance, and donating bats, balls, mowers, and other items.
3. Support for children's cafeterias
Since 2021, we have been donating laptops to Children's Village Hot Station, and providing Christmas presents, cakes, and chicken to children.
4. Movement to brighten society
With the slogan of "the power of the community to prevent crime and delinquency and support recovery," the movement to brighten up society is aimed at deepening understanding of the prevention of crime and delinquency and the rehabilitation of those who have committed crimes. It is a movement to build a local community.Our club is currently cooperating with the events of the Nippori District Promotion Committee.
